Blog post.

Welcome! I'm really glad you're here. I love connecting with my readers! If you've read any of my books, please let me know what you thought of them. If you haven't read any yet, I hope this will be the beginning of your journey with me through history.

Growing up in a Christian home, I learned to love Christ through my parents, particularly my mother. She spent hours poring over Scripture with small paperback commentaries she purchased from "Back to the Bible Broadcast." When she passed into the presence of the Lord, we found multiple notebooks filled with her notes. My father, a wonderful, godly dad, devoured history books! He took us on a trip across the US from Pennsylvania to California, up to Canada, and back. Although I didn't appreciate it at the time, God was laying the groundwork for my interest in history.

My interest in writing began in high school, although God had been preparing me to write long before that. As children, my brother, a neighbor friend, and I spent countless hours building kingdoms, countries, townships, and villages out of small wooden "bricks" (the forerunners of today's Legos!). We used small Disney figures as our people and made up story after story about their adventures.

When I was a teen, I set up my room with a small "office" section in which to write (on paper in those days or the small old-fashioned machine I used to teach myself typing, the kind you had to press down hard on the keys or nothing would happen! (I am SO THANKFUL for today's computers!) I wrote stories that I read so often, I grew tired of them and eventually threw them all out. Little did I know that one day, God would resurrect that desire to write. (This time around, I know better than to throw out my creativity!) Ironically, the name I used most often in those early days for my male protagonist was Brian. Guess what my husband's name is!

More later! Enjoy the site and take advantage of the books. They're all on Kindle Unlimited. Some are also on Audible. And all can be purchased as Ebooks or Paperbacks! Keep coming back. I'm hoping to add more to my blog and my books! God bless!
